MY JOURNEY
Hi, I’m Pyper Lynch, a licensed cosmetologist, proud to be from Person County, North Carolina. I live right here in Person County with my parents, Jim and Brandy, my sister Jordyn—who’s just 14 months older than me and truly my best friend—and my little brother Cross, who is my whole reason for living and working.
I attended Person High School, where I played soccer, with goalkeeper being my favorite position. I’ve always done things my own way and in my own time, and that mindset has shaped who I am both inside and outside the salon.
I graduated from Person High in 2021 and became a licensed cosmetologist in 2022, all before turning 18. I completed my degree at Piedmont Community College in 2023, and on February 1, 2024, I officially opened my own salon—a dream I had worked hard to make a reality.
Family means everything to me. Outside the salon, life looks a lot like a farm (or maybe a petting zoo). We have donkeys, chickens, dogs, and pigs—and don’t worry, we’re always looking to add more. When you come sit in my chair, you’re not just getting your hair done—you’re stepping into a space that reflects my roots, my family, and my love for what I do.
Nothing will ever compare to my first pet, Mr. Smee (aka Fat $). He got me through school, state boards, and the very beginning of my career. While he’s no longer with me, his picture hangs on the wall of my salon as a reminder of a bond that can never be recreated.
I found my passion for hair during a high school summer camp and went full steam ahead. I’m proud to be JZ Extension Certified, but I’m also a full-service cosmetologist. Everyone told me to pick a specialty—but that’s just not me. I love variety, creativity, and doing things differently.
The motto I live by—and the one hanging on my wall—is:
“Here for a good time, not a long time.”
I hope to see you in my chair soon.
